Choosing your size
- Mini. Snacks, fresh herbs, cut fruit, small leftovers.
- Small. Chopped salad ingredients and single portions.
- Large. The everyday replacement for a sandwich or freezer bag. Chopped veg, frozen fruit, leftovers wet or dry.
- Giant. Large bunches of greens, batch cooking and freezer portions. The one that keeps a bunch of silverbeet alive for the week.
Pure Standard
- It replaces the thing you were throwing away. Zip-lock bags and cling wrap are used once and then live forever. This is the swap with the clearest arithmetic in the whole kitchen.
- LFGB and FDA certified silicone. LFGB is the stricter of the two, a German food-contact standard that tests for what actually migrates out of the material. That is a more meaningful claim than a bare BPA-free label, which only tells you about one compound.
- Recyclable at the end of its life. Seed & Sprout run a Silicone Take Back Program, so these do not simply become landfill in ten years. Very few brands in this category close that loop.
- The seal is the whole product. Slide the bar across and it is genuinely airtight and leakproof, which is why it works for marinades and liquid leftovers rather than just dry snacks.
- Clear on purpose. Being able to see what is in the back of the fridge is a food-waste feature, not a design one.

Our Take
The one swap that actually kills the zip-lock box in the drawer. The slide-bar closure is the reason it works: it genuinely seals, so you can put wet leftovers or a marinade in one and lay it flat in the freezer. Buy the Giant if you have ever tried to keep a bunch of greens alive for a week. Seed & Sprout also take these back at end of life and recycle them, which almost nobody in this category does.
