About Pūrēly Organic

What is Pūrēly Organic?

Pūrēly Organic is an Australian online store for low-tox, refillable home, cleaning and lifestyle products. Every product is vetted against our Pūrē Standard before we stock it, and we ship Australia-wide from warehouses in Perth and Melbourne.

Where is Pūrēly Organic based?

We're based in West Perth, Western Australia. Pūrēly Organic is Australian owned and operated, founded by Felicia Byrne in 2025.

Do you have a store in Perth?

We're online first. Workshops run from our Perth studio, and in-person Low-Tox Home Consults are available across Perth metro.

Where can I buy low-tox cleaning products in Australia?

You can shop our full range of low-tox cleaning, laundry and home products online, with delivery Australia-wide from our warehouses in Perth and Melbourne. Many products come with a refill option so you buy the bottle once.

Which brands do you stock?

We stock brands including Koala Eco, Murchison-Hume, Bondi Wash, Dr Bronner's, Euclove, Seed & Sprout, Go Nude, We The Wild, The Organic Company, Hetkinen and Mienne. Each one has passed our Pūrē Standard.

Do you offer low-tox home audits?

Yes. Our Low-Tox Home Consult gives you a score for each room and a written, prioritised plan. In-person consults are available across Perth metro, and remote consults are available Australia-wide.

Do you work with Airbnb and short-stay hosts?

Yes. The Host Edit curates low-tox essentials for short-stay properties, so guests get a calmer, healthier stay.

Do you have low-tox Christmas gifts?

Yes. Our Christmas Gifts collection brings together low-tox gifts for the home, and digital gift cards are delivered instantly by email.

What makes Pūrēly Organic different from other low-tox stores?

We show our working. Every product page carries its Pūrē Standard score with the reasons behind it, including where it falls short. We import from brands in countries that take low-tox seriously, like Denmark's The Organic Company. Our range goes beyond cleaning into natural, considered home decor in materials like hemp. We also work inside the home, with Low-Tox Home Consults Australia-wide and The Host Edit for Airbnb and short-stay hosts. Through our free guides and workshops, we help people make their homes healthier and calmer. We vet, we curate, and we do the hard work for you.

Is Pūrēly Organic connected to other businesses called Purely Organic?

No. Pūrēly Organic (purelyorganic.com.au) is an independent Australian business, based in Perth, and isn't connected to overseas companies or garden products with a similar name.

Shipping and delivery

How much is shipping?

Shipping is free on all orders over $99. Under $99 we charge one flat rate anywhere in Australia: $16.95 standard or $29.95 express. Nothing is priced by weight, so a heavy order of liquid cleaners costs the same to ship as a light one. The exact cost is always shown at checkout before you pay.

How quickly is my order dispatched?

In-stock items are dispatched within 1 to 4 business days. Backorder items are dispatched within 5 to 10 business days, and pre-order items within 10 to 15 business days. If your order contains both, we ship it together so it arrives in one parcel with less packaging.

How long does delivery take?

Typically 3 to 14 business days after dispatch, depending on where you are. Regional and remote areas can take a little longer. These are estimates from our couriers, not guarantees.

When do I need to order for Christmas?

We pack every order by hand, so please give us a little time. For Christmas delivery with standard shipping, order by:

  • Thursday 10 December for NT
  • Monday 14 December for TAS
  • Tuesday 15 December for QLD
  • Wednesday 16 December for NSW, ACT, VIC and SA
  • Friday 18 December within WA

With express shipping, order by Thursday 17 December anywhere in Australia. Regional and remote areas can take a few extra days, so the earlier the better. Christmas is the busiest time of year for couriers, and while we do everything we can on our side, these dates are a guide rather than a guarantee.

Left it late? Our gift card is delivered instantly by email, right up to Christmas morning.

Where do you ship from?

We hold stock in our own warehouses in Perth and Melbourne, and your order is allocated to whichever is closer to you.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. We currently ship within Australia only.

How do I track my order?

You will get a shipping confirmation email with tracking as soon as your order leaves us. If the tracking has not moved, or your order has not arrived inside the estimated window, email us and we will chase the courier for you.

Ordering and payment

What does PRE-ORDER mean on a product?

It means the item is reserved for you from an incoming shipment rather than sitting on our shelf today. You are paying to hold it. Pre-order items dispatch within 10 to 15 business days, and if you order other things at the same time we send everything together.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Email us as soon as you can. We pack quickly, so we cannot promise it, but if the order has not gone out we will fix it.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards, plus Shop Pay, PayPal and Google Pay at checkout.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes. Our digital gift card comes in amounts from $50 to $1,000, is delivered instantly by email, can be spent across one order or several, and never expires.

Returns and refunds

Can I return something if I change my mind?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, as long as the item is unused, unopened and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase. Return postage for a change of mind is at your cost, and we recommend a tracked service because we cannot be responsible for parcels lost on the way back.

Is there anything I cannot return?

For health and safety reasons we cannot accept change-of-mind returns on opened or used consumables. That includes cleaning liquids, refills, candles, incense and personal care, or any item where the seal is broken. This does not affect your rights if something is faulty.

What if my order arrives damaged or faulty?

You are covered by the Australian Consumer Law. Email us with your order number and a photo and we will arrange a replacement, refund or repair at no cost to you. Please do not send anything back before you have heard from us.

How long do refunds take?

Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days of us receiving the returned item. Your bank or card provider may take a few days longer to show it.

About the products

How do you decide what to stock?

Everything is measured against the Pūrē Standard before it earns a place: what is actually in it, how well it works, how it is packaged, and whether we would use it in our own homes. We are a retailer rather than a manufacturer, so we tell you what we found rather than what a brand claims.

What does Refillable mean?

It means the product has a larger refill available, so you buy the bottle once and top it up rather than repurchasing the packaging every time. You can browse everything refillable using the Lifestyle filter on any collection page.

Are your products safe to use around pets or during pregnancy?

It depends entirely on the product, so please do not treat the whole range as one answer. Some essential oils that are perfectly fine for people are not suitable around cats, dogs or birds. We tag products under the Concerns filter for Pet Safe, Kids and Pregnancy Safe, Allergy and Sensitivity, Asthma and Respiratory, and Fragrance Free, which is the best place to start. Always read the label on the product itself, and if you have a specific health concern or an unwell animal, check with your GP or vet rather than relying on a filter.

How do I find vegan, cruelty free or plastic free products?

Use the Lifestyle filter on any collection page. You can filter by Vegan, Cruelty Free, Plastic Free, Refillable and Australian Made, and the counts tell you how many products match before you click.

The Pūrē Standard

What is the Pūrē Standard?

It is the benchmark every product is held to before it is listed on Pūrēly Organic. We look at five things: what is in it and whether it is fully disclosed, how the scent sits in a room, how well it actually works compared with what you already use, how it is packaged, and whether we would use it in our own homes. If it does not pass, we do not stock it. Read the full Pūrē Standard here.

How are products scored?

Each product is scored out of 5 in five categories: Performance, Low-Tox and Material Safety, Sustainability, Manufacturing Transparency, and Packaging. Performance comes first, because a low-tox product that doesn't do the job isn't a better choice. You will find the scores, and the reasons behind them, on every product page.

Why do so few products score a 5?

Because a 5 should mean something. We score honestly rather than generously, so most of the products we love still land below a 5. A 5 is kept for the ones that genuinely get everything right.

Does a lower score mean a product is unsafe?

No. A score is an account of what is in the bottle and how it is made, not a safety or wellness rating. Every product we stock has already passed the Pūrē Standard. A lower number simply tells you where there is still room to improve, so you can choose based on what matters most in your home.

Is everything you sell non-toxic?

No, and we would rather say so. We call our range low-tox. A small number of products contain a synthetic ingredient because nothing plant-derived performs as well yet. When that is the case, it is reflected in the score and explained on the product page.

Why do you care so much about the word "fragrance"?

Because one word on a label can stand in for dozens of undisclosed ingredients. We look for brands that tell you what is actually in their scent, and products that are pleasant in a room without being overpowering.

Who does the scoring?

We do. We are a retailer, not a manufacturer, so we report what we found when we looked at a product, rather than repeating what a brand says about itself.

Can my brand be considered for Pūrēly Organic?

Yes. Email info@purelyorganic.com.au with your product details and full ingredient list, and we will assess it against the Pūrē Standard.

Services

What is Household Refills?

Household Refills is our refill subscription, and part of The Household. Low-tox refills arrive on a rhythm that matches how fast your household actually gets through them, so you stop reordering the same things. It is not open to everyone yet. You can join the waitlist for founding member pricing and a discovery item in your first box.

What is the Low-Tox Home Consult?

We go through your home room by room and give you a plan, so you do not have to read another ingredient list. Remote consults are available Australia-wide from $129. In-person consults are Perth metro, $595. You can read the full details here.

Which consult is right for me, in person or remote?

In person if you are in Perth and you want the measuring: air, water, light, damp and the rangehood check. It also goes deeper, because we open the cupboards ourselves instead of asking you to. Remote if you are outside Perth, short on time, or you would rather not have someone going through every cupboard in your house. You get the same score and the same written guide either way. What changes is the measuring and the depth, not the advice.

What do I actually get out of a consult?

A score out of 100, one for every room, and a written guide that says what to change and in what order. The free changes are listed first because they do the most. Past that: you stop guessing what is in the things you use every day, most households spend less rather than more because they stop buying twice, and you get a finished list instead of an open question.

What do you actually measure on an in-person consult?

We bring instruments and take the readings while you watch: the air, meaning carbon dioxide, humidity and airborne particles; the water at your kitchen tap; the light in the rooms you use most; damp in walls and under sinks; and surface temperatures. Every reading goes in your booklet in plain English, next to what it means. They are a guide rather than a lab result, and we will never tell you that a reading explains how somebody feels. The remote consult does not include measuring.

How does a consult work, step by step?

  1. You book, in person or remote, and pick a time that suits.
  2. We send you a short questionnaire. Send it back whenever you get to it, there is no deadline.
  3. We read every product you have listed before we start. This is the slow part, and it is the part you are paying for.
  4. We either jump on a call or come to your house, and go through it together, room by room.
  5. In person, we take the readings while we are there.
  6. We write you your own booklet: your score, your rooms, and your changes in the order worth doing them.
  7. We get on a call and walk you through it, so you are not left decoding a PDF on your own.
  8. We book a follow up, to see what worked and what you want to take on next.
