Home Essentials
The objects you live with rather than the products you use up.
The Home Essentials Edit
Natural fibres and inert materials throughout: cotton, linen and hemp for textiles, glass and stainless for anything that touches food. Nothing here sheds microplastics into your wash or leaches into a hot meal, which is the quiet reason most of it is here.

Why does material matter this much for homewares? Because these are the items with the longest contact time. A towel touches clean skin daily for years, a container holds hot food weekly, sheets are against you for a third of your life. Contact time is what turns a small material choice into a meaningful one.
Is any of this certified, or just claimed? Some of it is genuinely certified and some is not, and we say which on each product page. The bedding and several towel ranges hold GOTS or OEKO-TEX certification. Others are here on material and design alone, and we would rather tell you that than let the halo spread.
What is worth replacing first? Whatever you use most and touches you longest. For most households that is towels and sheets, then food storage. Decor can wait.

Common questions
What does the Home Essentials collection include?
Home Essentials brings together the considered, low tox homewares that furnish a space day to day, from drinkware, glassware and storage to towels, textiles, decor and organising pieces. Every item is rated against our Pūrē Standard for material safety and sustainability.
How do you choose which homewares to stock?
We look for durable, reusable pieces made from genuinely safe materials like borosilicate glass, stoneware ceramic, natural fibres and food safe finishes, and we are honest on each page where a certification or country of manufacture is not disclosed.
Are your homewares free from harmful materials?
We prioritise inert, non leaching materials and food safe certifications such as LFGB and OEKO-TEX where they apply. Where a product uses plastic or an uncertified material, we say so plainly rather than overstate it.
Do you stock plastic free homewares?
Yes. Glass, ceramic, stainless steel, bamboo and natural fibre pieces all offer plastic free options, and you can filter by Plastic Free to find them.
Are these homewares built to last?
That is the point. We favour long lasting, reusable homewares over disposable trend pieces, so they earn their place in your home for years rather than a single season.
