This wood fibre chopping board in Eucalyptus green is a sleek, practical upgrade for anyone concerned about microplastics in plastic boards but who finds solid wood too bulky: slim, durable and dishwasher safe, with a built-in handle so it carries to the table as a serving board. All three sizes are 0.6cm thick.
Which One Do I Need?
- Small, 30 x 23.5cm. Everyday prep: garlic, herbs, one onion, a piece of fruit. The one that lives on the bench.
- Medium, 37 x 27.5cm. The all-rounder. Enough room for a full board of vegetables without pushing things off the edge.
- Large, 44 x 32.5cm. Roasts, whole chickens, bread and big-batch prep. Also the one to use as a grazing board.
Key Features
- 100% dishwasher safe. No hand washing required.
- It will not crack or warp. Nor split or mould.
- Just 6mm thick. Easy to store.
- Built-in handle. So it doubles as a serving or charcuterie board.
- Heat safe. Serve hot dishes straight onto it.
- Non-porous. No oiling or conditioning required.
- Lighter than solid wood. And more durable than a regular wooden board.
Pūrē Standard
- It answers the plastic board problem. Plastic boards shed microplastics into food every time you cut on them. This is the swap for people who want out of that but do not want a heavy wooden slab that needs oiling.
- Not 100% plastic-free, and we will not pretend otherwise. The board is 80% FSC-certified pine bound with 20% food-grade resin. That resin is what stops it warping and splitting, and it is certified free from formaldehyde, but it is still a binder. This is why the board does not carry our Plastic Free tag.
- FSC-certified pine. The wood is from responsibly managed forestry, which is the part of this board that makes up four fifths of it.
- Zero maintenance is a sustainability feature. Non-porous, dishwasher safe, no oiling. Boards get replaced when they go mouldy or split, and this one does neither.
- Built to be used daily. Slim enough to store, light enough to lift one-handed, and tough enough that it should outlast several plastic boards.

Our Take
At 6mm it slides into a drawer, goes in the dishwasher and will not warp, which is the case for it over timber. It is not plastic free: the resin binder is what makes it work.
