House of Nunu's Green Olive Check range brings soft, contrasting checks into the bathroom: bright hues that add colour and a spa-like feel at home. Woven from 100% cotton, with 550GSM towels and a notably denser 800GSM bath mat.

Choosing your piece
- Bath Towel, 70 x 140cm, 550GSM. A full-size towel with real weight to it. Substantial without being a bath sheet.
- Hand Towel, 40 x 60cm, 550GSM. The same cotton and weight, sized for the basin.
- Bath Mat, 50 x 70cm, 800GSM. Nearly half again as dense as the towels. This is the piece that makes the set feel considered rather than matching.
Pure Standard
- We bought these for the colour. Almost everything in this category is oatmeal, stone or another apologetic neutral. These are proper contrasting checks, and they are the reason a plain bathroom starts looking deliberate.
- The bath mat is the one to notice. At 800GSM it is markedly denser than the towels and than most mats, which is what you feel standing on it wet.
- 550GSM is a real weight. Most supermarket towels sit between 300 and 450GSM, so these are noticeably denser and more absorbent.
- 100% cotton, with no polyester blended in.
- What we cannot tell you. House of Nunu publish no third-party material or dye certification, no country of manufacture, and no detail on their dye process.
- Where it sits in our range. This is a design piece rather than a certified one. If certification is what you are after, our GOTS-certified towels are the better fit, and we would rather point you there than oversell this.

Our Take
We bought these for the colour, and we are not going to dress it up as anything else. Almost every towel in a low-tox shop is oatmeal or stone, and these are contrasting checks that make a plain bathroom look intentional. The bath mat is the standout: at 800GSM it is noticeably denser than the towels and genuinely plush underfoot. What we cannot tell you is where they are made or what the dyes are, because House of Nunu do not publish it, and the scores below reflect exactly that.
