MAHŌ Sensory - Chá Pot - Borosilicate Glass Teapot
Chá Pot, a handcrafted borosilicate glass teapot for the ritual of tea.
MAHŌ's Chá Pot is a seductive portal into the art of tea: a 1000ml handcrafted high-borosilicate glass teapot with a built-in infuser, adorned in playful hues that blend bold design with everyday function. The lid doubles as a saucer for the used infuser. Choose your colourway.
Key Features
- 100% high-borosilicate glass, handcrafted.
- 1000ml capacity with a built-in loose-leaf infuser.
- Lid doubles as a saucer for the infuser.
- Dishwasher and microwave safe (handwashing recommended).
- 12 x 14cm.
Choosing your colourway
- Twilight. Deep and dusky, the quietest of the three.
- At The Park. Fresh and green, the everyday one.
- Pink Flamingo. The boldest, and the one that makes a teapot a centrepiece rather than a utensil.
Pure Standard
- Glass the whole way through, infuser included. Most teapots with a built-in strainer use a plastic or nylon basket, sitting exactly where the boiling water goes. This one has no plastic in contact with your tea at all, which is the reason we chose it.
- Borosilicate, not ordinary glass. It handles the thermal shock of boiling water into a cold pot, which is what cracks cheaper glassware.
- The lid becomes the saucer. Flip it over and the wet infuser has somewhere to go. A small thing, but it is the detail that tells you someone made tea with this before designing it.
- Handcrafted, so each one differs slightly. Small variations in the glass are the making, not a fault.
- Honest note. Thin borosilicate is durable against heat but not against knocks. This is a piece to handle with care, and we would rather say so than have it arrive and disappoint.

Our Take
Glass all the way through, which matters more than it sounds: most teapots with an infuser put a plastic or nylon basket right where the boiling water sits. This one has none. The lid flipping over to become a saucer for the wet infuser is the detail that shows someone actually made tea with it before designing it. Handcrafted, so no two are identical, and thin enough that you will want to be careful with it.
