What Happens in a Low-Tox Home Audit? A Room-by-Room Guide
A low-tox home audit is a room-by-room look at the products, materials and habits in your home, followed by a written plan for what to change, and in what order.
At Pūrēly Organic we call ours the Low-Tox Home Consult. This guide explains exactly what happens, so you know what to expect before you book.
What is a low-tox home audit?
It is an audit of what you bring into your home and use every day: cleaning and laundry products, personal care, candles and room sprays, kitchenware, textiles and storage. We read the label of every product you name, check the brand's own information and the certification behind any claim, then walk through your home with you, room by room.
What it is not. Not a building, pest, structural or mould inspection, not a medical assessment and not laboratory testing.
What do we actually check?

Under the sink & laundry
Cleaners, detergents, dishwashing products and anything with an undisclosed "fragrance".

Hand wash, body care, air fresheners and plastic packaging.

Cookware, food storage, wraps and surface cleaners.

Bedding, textiles, candles, diffusers and room sprays.

How you clean, ventilate and store things. Some of the best changes cost nothing.

Why we read the back of every pack
In Australia, a household cleaner does not have to list every ingredient on its label, and "natural" or "eco" on the front is not a regulated promise. In Europe, cleaning products must name certain fragrance allergens on the pack.
That gap is why we read everything before we speak, using the same five measures as our Pūrē Standard: performance, ingredients, sustainability, manufacturing transparency and packaging.

A video call walkthrough, room by room, using six photographs you send beforehand. Available anywhere in the country.
In person

We come to your home with instruments and take air, water and light readings on the day, then call you afterwards to go through what we found. Readings are indicative rather than certified.

Every product you name: the ingredient list, the brand's page, the back of the pack and any certification.
