- It is what is left out that matters on baby clothes. Optical brighteners, enzymes and synthetic fragrance are the laundry additives that cling to fabric after rinsing, then sit against skin all day. This formula omits the lot, which is the whole reason a separate baby detergent is worth buying.
- pH neutral, deliberately. Most laundry liquids run alkaline because it helps with cleaning. Neutral pH is gentler on skin and on the fibres of very small clothes, and it is a harder formulation problem to solve.
- Real essential oils, honestly labelled. Blue gum and neroli bring the scent, and Bondi Wash declare the naturally occurring allergens that come with them: limonene, linalool, geraniol and citral. Those are on the label because the oils are genuine, not because anything synthetic has been added.
- It goes a very long way. 100 hand washes or 50 machine loads from one litre, at 10 to 20ml a wash.
- Full ingredient disclosure with concentration bands. Bondi Wash publish the complete list and even the percentage range on the surfactants, which almost nobody does.
