- Lemon tea tree is not tea tree, and the difference matters. This uses lemon tea tree, botanically Leptospermum petersonii, which is a different plant from true tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia). That is why Bondi Wash can describe this as safe around babies and pets when a true tea tree product would not be. It is one of the most commonly confused pairs in low-tox cleaning.
- The concentration is the whole value. A capful per bucket, 80 washes from a 500ml bottle. Compare that to a supermarket floor cleaner before deciding this is expensive, and note it also means far less packaging and freight per clean floor.
- Under 5% surfactant. Bondi Wash publish the concentration band, and it is low. Most of what is in the bottle is water and citric acid, which is exactly what you want on sealed timber where residue and film are the real enemies.
- Honest about the 1%. Rather than claiming 100% natural, they say 99%+ plant-derived and tell you the remainder is food-grade preservative keeping the product shelf-stable. That is a more useful sentence than a rounded-up number.
- It genuinely is multipurpose. Bondi Wash sanction it on any surface, and neat on a sponge for spot cleaning, which is why it carries every room tag rather than just floors.
