- Stiff enough to actually shift something. The usual failure of a plastic-free brush is bristles too soft to move baked-on food, so you give up and reach for the scourer anyway. Agave has real bite and still will not mark enamel or a good non-stick. Where we would like more is a published bristle spec and dimensions, and that is what is holding the Performance score here.
- No plastic anywhere. Bamboo base, agave bristles, no synthetic fibre. The standard washing-up brush is entirely plastic and sheds it into the sink with every use.
- Two fast-renewing plants. Bamboo and agave both regrow quickly and need very little to do it. That is most of what makes this a genuinely better object rather than a nicer-looking one.

- Hold the base in your palm. Work in small circles. It is designed to be gripped, not held by a handle.
- Best on baked-on surfaces. Pots and pans, oven trays, and the base of the sink.
- Safe on enamel and non-stick. The agave will not scratch.
- Pair it with a dish soap. Rather than relying on the bristles alone.
