Wandering and free-spirited, Gypsy Wood is earthed in smoky sandalwood and yellow sunflower, with frankincense top notes softened by a hint of cream. Choose the Incense Burner Kit to start from scratch, or the Refill if you already have a MAHŌ burner.
Which One Do I Need?
- Incense Burner Kit. Thirty sticks in a portable glass tube, plus a minimalist MAHŌ button burner. Each stick burns approximately 60 minutes. Start here.
- Incense Sticks (Refill). Sixty sticks, with no burner included. Each stick burns approximately 30 minutes.
- Either way. You get around 30 hours of total burn time.

Pūrē Standard
- The base is real material, not a bamboo core dipped in fragrance. Sandalwood, agarwood and whitewoods with a natural resin or balsam, bound with slippery elm bark powder. Cheap incense is a bamboo stick rolled in charcoal and soaked in perfume, and it smells like it.
- No bamboo core means no acrid undertone. A solid extruded stick burns evenly and cleanly.
- Honest about the fragrance. The load is up to 10% and can be a blend of synthetic and essential oils depending on the scent, so this is not a pure essential-oil product and we will not pretend otherwise.
- Hand made in Fujian, China. That is where incense sticks come from.
- Where we would like more. Any incense produces smoke and particulates. Burn it in a ventilated room, and if anyone in the house has asthma this is not the right fragrance format.

How to Use
- Light and extinguish. Hold the tip over a flame, then blow or fan it out. It should glow and smoke.
- Seat the stick. Return the smouldering stick to your MAHŌ burner.
- For a shorter burn. Break a stick in half.
- For a bigger room. Burn more than one, and place the stick away from you for a less smoky throw.

- Never unattended. Burn on a heat-resistant surface, away from anything flammable.
- Children and pets. Keep out of reach, and ventilate the room.

What is the difference between the Kit and the Refill?
The Burner Kit is 30 sticks in a glass tube plus a MAHO button burner, and each stick burns about 60 minutes. The Refill is 60 sticks with no burner, and each burns about 30 minutes. Both give you roughly 30 hours in total.
