- Glycerin is the reason it does not dry you out. It is a humectant, so it holds water against the skin rather than stripping it. Most hand soaps at a sink used ten times a day do the opposite.
- No SLS. Sodium lauryl sulfate is the usual culprit behind tight, itchy hands in winter, and it is out.
- The refill is the whole point of the format. A 946ml refill fills the 500ml bottle nearly twice, so the pump keeps going and the plastic count stops.
- Australian made and cruelty free. Stated on the bottle, with the full ingredient list published.
- Where we would like more. The surfactant is sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate, a milder synthetic rather than a plant glucoside, and the scent is a fragrance compound rather than named essential oils. Gentler than the supermarket alternative, not the same as our glucoside-only lines.

- Apply to damp hands. And lather for at least 20 seconds.
- Rinse thoroughly. Then dry.
- Follow with a hand cream. If your hands need more.
