Two bottles, one routine. Outdoors a plant sends roots out to find what it needs and the rain washes its leaves; indoors it is stuck in a pot with whatever you give it, under a slowly thickening film of household dust. This pair fixes both ends of that: feed the roots, wipe the leaves, and let the plant get on with using the light it has. Created by two horticulturalists in Melbourne, and good-looking enough to leave on the shelf.
What's in the Pack
- Indoor Plant Food, 100ml. A complete liquid feed of NPK, secondary nutrients, trace elements and seaweed extract. Makes up to 100 litres, which is well over a year for most collections.
- Neem Oil Leaf Shine, 245ml. 100% organic neem seed oil, hand-blended with a plant-based wetting agent.
Key Features
- Odourless feed. No fish-emulsion smell in the living room.
- A marked dropper. It means you are measuring rather than guessing.
- The bottles. Both amber glass, made in Melbourne.
- Refillable. Plant Runner sell larger glass refills for both.
Pūrē Standard
- Neem that is actually neem. 100% organic neem seed oil with a plant-based wetting agent, and no synthetic fragrance or artificial glossing agents. Most leaf shine products are silicone or wax that coats the leaf and blocks the stomata. This lifts dust instead, which is the opposite job.
- A concentrate, not a bottle of water. 100ml makes up to 100 litres of feed at 1ml per litre. Very little of what you are buying is packaging or freight.
- The dropper is not a small thing. Overfeeding is the most common way people harm indoor plants, and a marked dropper is the difference between dosing and guessing.
- Made in Melbourne by horticulturalists. Both bottles are amber glass, and Plant Runner also sell larger glass refills for both, so this need not be the last bottle you buy.
- Where we would like more. Plant Runner name the nutrients in the Indoor Plant Food but do not publish the NPK ratio for it, as they do for their Organic Plant Food. Both bottles are glass, but the trigger head and the dropper are plastic, so this is not a plastic-free set.

Our Take
Feed the roots, wipe the leaves, done: two bottles instead of a shelf of confusing ones. The gentle on-ramp to a lifelong and mildly expensive hobby.

Frequently asked
What is in the bundle?
Two bottles: Indoor Plant Food 100ml with a marked dropper, and Neem Oil Leaf Shine 245ml with a trigger spray. Both are amber glass.
How long will the plant food last?
Longer than you would think. It is a concentrate dosed at 1ml per litre, so 100ml makes up to 100 litres of feed. For most collections fed fortnightly in the growing season, that is well over a year.
Why wipe leaves with neem oil?
Indoors there is no wind or rain to clean foliage, so dust builds up and physically limits how much light a leaf can use. A wipe lifts the dust and restores the natural gloss. Unlike silicone or wax leaf shines, it does not coat the leaf.
Is it safe around pets and children?
Plant Runner state both are safe to use around pets and children when used as directed. Keep them out of reach and do not ingest them.
Does it smell?
The plant food is almost completely odourless, so no fish-emulsion smell hanging around the living room. The neem has a mild natural scent with no synthetic fragrance added.
What happens when they run out?
Plant Runner make glass refills for both, a 500ml for the plant food and a 980ml for the neem, so you top these bottles up rather than replacing them.
Where is it made?
Melbourne, Australia, by two horticulturalists. Plant Runner do not publish the NPK ratio for this particular feed, which is why we have not scored transparency higher.
