The Oslo is Potted's classic: a beautifully simple stoneware planter with a hole in the base for drainage and a matching saucer. This is the XL, at 24cm tall including the saucer with a 19cm internal diameter, which is the size that takes a statement plant rather than a shelf one.

- It drains, which most decorative pots do not. A real hole and a matching saucer mean you can plant directly into it instead of hiding a plastic nursery pot inside. Root rot from a sealed cachepot is the most common way a houseplant dies indoors.
- Stoneware, not a plastic composite. Fired clay is inert. It does not off-gas, it does not shed microplastics into your potting mix, and it will not go chalky and brittle in a sunny window the way a plastic pot does.
- The size is the point. A 19cm internal diameter takes a mature plant straight out of its nursery pot without a repot into something intermediate first. Most "large" pots are not actually large enough for the plant people buy them for.
- Weight is a feature at this size. A tall plant in a light pot tips over. Stoneware gives it a base that does not.
- Where we would like more. Potted publish the material, the finish, the external height and the internal diameter for every pot in the range, which is more than most homewares brands manage. They do not publish the external diameter, the clay body or the glaze composition. Their trade listings give the country of manufacture as China.

Care Instructions
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth. As needed.
- Use the saucer. Tip out standing water rather than letting the plant sit in it.
- Lift from the base, not the rim. At this size it is heavy once planted.
- Indoor use. Glazed stoneware can crack if it freezes with water in it.
