Key Features
  • Six per pack. One tray's worth.

  • Platinum cured, not peroxide cured. No curing by-products left in the silicone.
  • There is an end-of-life answer. Returnable through the Seed & Sprout Silicone Take Back Program.
  • Not tagged plastic free, deliberately. Silicone is a polymer and we will not claim otherwise.
  • Where we would like more. China is named and ethical manufacture claimed, but no factory audit is published.

Our Take

Paper liners are the thing you buy without noticing, then bin twelve at a time. Six silicone cups end that, and because they need no greasing they are faster than the roll.

Frequently asked

Which size muffin cup do I need?

Large is 9cm across the top, for standard muffins in a regular tray. Small is 6.7cm, for cupcakes, mini muffins and lunchbox portions. Large is the more versatile if you only buy one.

Do silicone muffin cups need a tray?

Yes. They are flexible, so they need a muffin tin or a flat baking tray to hold their shape while the batter is wet. Free-standing on an oven rack they will slump.

Do you grease silicone muffin cups?

No. Silicone releases on its own, so no oil, spray or flour. Let them cool a few minutes before peeling.

Is silicone safe to bake in?

This silicone is LFGB certified, the German food-contact standard, tested more intensively than the FDA equivalent. It is platinum cured rather than peroxide cured, so no curing by-products remain. Safe from minus 40 to 200 degrees.

Are they plastic free?

No, and we have not tagged them as such. Silicone is a polymer. It is inert and lasts years, but it is not a natural material.

What happens when they wear out?

Seed and Sprout run a Silicone Take Back Program, so the cups are returned and recycled rather than binned. Most silicone kitchenware has no stated route out at all.
