Peppermint (Mentha x piperita) is a fast-growing, intensely aromatic herb with the classic cool mint flavour, perfect for tea, cocktails, desserts and cooking. One of the easiest herbs to grow, it is so vigorous it is best given its own pot. Approximately 250 seeds in a packet.

How to Use
  • Sow into its own container. Mint is invasive and will crowd out neighbours.
  • Two seeds per hole. At least, 0 to 1cm deep, and keep moist until germinated.
  • Spacing. 30cm.
  • Soil. Free-draining to damp, enriched with compost. Feed monthly with seaweed extract.
  • Position. Full sun to shade. It thrives in most light.

  • Zone 2, temperate. September to May.
  • Zone 3, subtropical. Anytime.
  • Zone 4, tropical. Anytime.
