The Plant Food Edit
Plant foods and soil conditioners first, then potting mix, then the protection sprays. Several are organic concentrates rather than synthetic salts, which matters if you have ever burnt a plant by being generous with the blue crystals.
Worth knowing: two products here are independently verified as safe for pets by the Animal Poisons Centre of Australia, which is genuinely rare for a plant product and is why they carry our Pet Safe tag. The neem-based sprays do not, so keep animals off treated foliage until it dries.
How often should I actually feed? Most of these are dilute enough to use every time you water through the growing season. That is deliberate. Little and often beats a monthly dose the plant cannot use at once.
Can I overdo it? With the organic concentrates here, very hard to. Synthetic fertilisers burn roots when overdosed, which is how most people kill a houseplant while trying to help it.
What is neem oil for? Sap-sucking pests: aphids, scale, mealybug, spider mite. It also leaves foliage glossy, which is a pleasant side effect rather than the purpose.
