- Low suds is the formula working, not failing. Plant glucoside surfactants foam far less than the sulphates in a supermarket liquid while still cutting grease, and Bondi Wash state it is gentle enough to use without gloves. - Lemon tea tree is not tea tree, and the difference matters. This is Leptospermum petersonii, an Australian native with a crisp citrus scent, botanically distinct from true tea tree, Melaleuca alternifolia. The antibacterial credit belongs to the plant, not to a synthetic biocide.
- Genuinely sulphate free, and Bondi Wash are specific about it. No SLS, SLES or any sulphate anywhere in the range.
- Non-drying on the hands. Bondi Wash state it is safe to use without gloves, which almost nothing else in the sink cupboard can claim.
- The fragrance is plant-sourced, full stop. Bondi Wash use only natural fragrance across the range, and say plainly that colour and scent can vary batch to batch. That variation is the proof.

How to Use
- A small amount. 10ml, or 2 capfuls, into hot running water.
- Expect fewer suds. That is the natural surfactants, not a weaker wash.
- Keep out of direct sunlight. It protects the oils.

Bondi Wash have somehow made washing up feel like a small indulgence, and the lemon tea tree is the culprit. Low-suds because there are no sulphates in it, so gloves are genuinely optional.

Is this the same as tea tree?
No. It is lemon tea tree, Leptospermum petersonii, an Australian native that is botanically distinct from true tea tree, Melaleuca alternifolia. It smells crisp and citrusy rather than medicinal, and it is where the antibacterial credit comes from.
Why does it barely foam?
Because it contains no sulphates. Bondi Wash use plant-based glucoside surfactants instead, which foam less. Fewer bubbles is the formula working, not failing.
Will it dry out my hands?
No. Bondi Wash formulate it to be non-drying and state it is safe to use without gloves.
Is it safe around food?
