Roughly fifty washes from the 500ml and a hundred from the litre, with a surfactant system built to lather and cut grease rather than to look gentle on a label. pH balanced, so it gets through a night of fried pans without stripping your hands.
- The full ingredient list is published, allergens included. Limonene and citral are both declared and both come from the essential oils rather than being added. A brand that names its allergens is telling you something useful instead of hiding behind "fragrance".
- Made in Australia. Koala Eco state it directly on the ingredient panel rather than leaving it to be inferred from an Australian-sounding brand name.
- Septic safe and biodegradable. A harder test than biodegradable alone, and the one that matters if you are on a tank.
- The bottle is 100% post-consumer recycled. No new plastic was made for it, and the 1L refill means it need not be the last bottle you own. At 10ml a sink, the 500ml is around fifty washes and the litre is roughly a hundred.
- An honest note on the surfactants. This uses sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate and cocamidopropylamine oxide alongside plant-derived decyl and coco-glucosides. How to Use
- Into the sink. Pour approximately 10ml, or two capfuls, into a sink of warm water.
- Or straight to the sponge. Apply a small amount directly to a wet sponge or dish brush.
- Lather, then rinse. Massage to a rich lather and rinse with fresh water.
- Refill rather than replace. Top the bottle up from the 1L.
