It throws a fine, even mist rather than the wet splatter a trigger bottle gives you, which is what humidity-loving foliage, moss poles and propagation setups actually want. • All metal, and the brand says so explicitly. Plant Runner state there are no plastic parts hiding anywhere, which matters because almost every plant mister on the market is a plastic pump mechanism inside a metal-look shell. That pump is the part that fails, and it is the part you cannot replace.
• It replaces something disposable. A trigger spray bottle is a two-year object. This is a decades one, and brass is straightforwardly recyclable at the end of that.
• Handmade, with the variation to prove it. The hammered finish is worked by hand, so the dimpling differs piece to piece. That is a feature, not a defect, and worth knowing before yours arrives looking slightly unlike the photograph.
• The mist is the point. A fine atomised mist settles on leaves without soaking the potting mix, which is what you want for humidity, moss poles and cuttings. A trigger bottle waterlogs the soil while you are trying to wet the leaves.

• Where we would like more. Plant Runner do not publish the brass alloy, or whether the finish is lacquered. For a metal vessel that holds water, knowing whether the finish is sealed matters for how it ages.

• Unscrew the top, fill with water, and pump the plunger for a fine mist.
• Mist the foliage, not the soil. Hold it far enough back that the mist settles rather than lands.
• Also useful for applying foliar feed and for refreshing moss poles and propagation boxes.
• Use filtered or rainwater if your tap water is hard, to avoid spotting on leaves.

• Empty it if you are not using it for a while rather than leaving water standing inside.
• Wipe dry after use to keep the shine.
• If the brass dulls over time, a little brass polish will bring it back. Plant Runner do not state whether the finish is lacquered, so test on the base first.
• Flush with clean water after using foliar feed through it.
