The Food Prep Set

• Seed & Sprout wood fibre chopping board in Nutmeg, Medium. 80% FSC-certified pine wood and 20% formaldehyde-free food-grade resin.
• Seed & Sprout heat-resistant glass square food containers, 1100ml, set of 2. Glass base and glass lid, freezer to oven.
• Bondi Wash dish wash, Lemon Tea Tree & Mandarin, 500ml. 99%+ naturally derived and gentle on bare hands.
• Koala Eco bamboo & agave scrubbing brush. Agave plant fibre bristles on a palm-sized bamboo base, for pots and pans.

Every piece is checked and scored against the Pūrē Standard. Same price as buying each piece separately.

• Plastic off the board and out of the reheat. A wood fibre board instead of a plastic one, and glass containers with glass lids, so nothing plastic touches hot food.
• Low maintenance. The board is non-porous and goes in the dishwasher, with no oiling, and it will not crack, warp or mould.
• Freezer to oven to table. Prep, bake, freeze, reheat and serve in the same glass container.
• A sink you can leave out. A plant-based dish wash in a bottle you will not hide, and a brush with no plastic in the base or bristles.
• Three brands, four pieces, one job each. Nothing in the set doubles up.

• Seed & Sprout Nutmeg chopping board. Scores 4 out of 5 on its own, strongest on sustainability (4.5), softest on packaging (3.5). Not 100% plastic-free: the resin binder is what stops it warping, and it is certified formaldehyde free.
• Seed & Sprout glass food containers. Scores 4.2 out of 5 on its own, strongest on low-tox (5), softest on transparency (3.5).
• Bondi Wash dish wash. Scores 4.3 out of 5 on its own, strongest on low-tox and transparency (5), softest on packaging (3.5). It declares the natural essential-oil allergens limonene, citral, linalool and citronellol.
• Koala Eco scrubbing brush. Scores 3.9 out of 5 on its own, strongest on low-tox (5), softest on performance and transparency (3). Koala Eco do not publish how the bristles are fixed, so we do not claim it is home compostable.
• Where we would like more. Performance is the set's softest score at 3.8 out of 5, mostly down to the scrubbing brush.

Overall set score:

• The board. Cut, then carry it to the table by the built-in handle. Hot dishes can go straight onto it.
• The containers. Remove the lid before the oven, glass base only. Open the air vent before microwaving, and use the pull tab if a vacuum forms as food cools.
• The dish wash. About 10ml, or 2 capfuls, into hot running water. Fewer suds is the plant surfactants working, not a weaker wash.
• The brush. Hold the base in your palm and work in small circles. Best on baked-on pots and trays, and gentle on enamel and non-stick. Pair it with the dish wash.

• Board and containers. Both go in the dishwasher. The board needs no oiling.
• Brush. Hand rinse only, stand upright to dry, and avoid soaking to protect the bamboo.
• Dish wash. Keep out of direct sunlight to protect the oils. Colour and scent can vary batch to batch, as with anything plant-derived.
