Baby Wash in Blue Cypress & Petitgrain
A gentle, nourishing wash for body and hair with 100% plant-derived ingredients. Australian Emu Apple extract nourishes and soothes delicate skin, and Bondi Wash formulate it to be mild enough for the face. Lightly fragranced with their Blue Cypress & Petitgrain blend, scent no. 05, from real essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance. Also suits children and adults with very sensitive skin.

- Certified organic jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil and vitamin E.
- Gentle enough to use on the face.
- Free from sulphates, parabens, synthetic preservatives, synthetic fragrance and colours, coco-betaine, PEGs, EDTA, methylchloroisothiazolinone and phenoxyethanol.
- Palm oil free and cruelty free. Made in Australia.
- 250ml.
Pure Standard
- The preservative system is the tell. Instead of phenoxyethanol or methylchloroisothiazolinone, this uses sodium levulinate, sodium anisate and gluconolactone. These are harder to formulate with and cost more, and they are the reason Bondi Wash can claim no synthetic preservatives without the product spoiling.
- Glucoside surfactants only. Coco-glucoside and decyl glucoside do the cleaning, which is the mildest widely available surfactant class, and there is no coco-betaine either. On a baby wash, that matters more than any botanical on the front label.
- Emu apple is a genuine native ingredient, not decoration. Kunzea pomifera is an Australian bush food, and Bondi Wash include it specifically to soothe and help heal skin rashes rather than for the story.
- Three certified organic oils. Jojoba seed oil, sunflower seed oil and tocopherol all carry organic certification on the ingredient list, which very few baby washes bother with.
- Every oil is named. Blue cypress, pink grapefruit, orange, yarrow, petitgrain, lavender, cedarwood and tangerine, all listed individually rather than hidden behind the words essential oils. If your baby has reacted to something before, you can actually check.
- Worth knowing it is fragranced. Lightly, and only with real essential oils, but it is not a fragrance-free product. For most babies that is completely fine and Bondi Wash design the blend to be safe for them. If you are dealing with genuinely reactive skin and want zero fragrance of any kind, this is not the one.
- Where it loses marks. A 250ml plastic bottle with no refill in the range, which is a lot of packaging per wash compared with a larger format.

Our Take
A baby wash where the unglamorous parts are the good parts: glucoside surfactants only, no coco-betaine, and a natural preservative system instead of phenoxyethanol. Australian emu apple soothes rashes, three of the oils are certified organic, and every single essential oil is named on the label so you can actually check. Gentle enough for the face. It is lightly fragranced with real botanicals rather than fragrance-free, which suits most babies but is worth knowing if skin is very reactive.

It is 100% plant derived, cleaned with the mildest surfactant class (coco-glucoside and decyl glucoside, and no coco-betaine), and preserved with sodium levulinate, sodium anisate and gluconolactone rather than phenoxyethanol or methylchloroisothiazolinone. Bondi Wash also say it can be used on the face.
