- No enzymes, which matters more here than anywhere else. Enzymes break down protein, and wool and cashmere are protein. Most "gentle" delicate washes still contain them. This one does not, and that is the single most important thing on the label.
- The moth thing is real chemistry, not marketing. Limonene is genuinely repellent to clothes moths, so washing woollens before storing them does two jobs at once.
- No optical brighteners. Brighteners do not clean anything. They deposit a fluorescent dye on the fabric so white looks whiter in daylight. On cashmere that is build-up, not cleanliness.
- Genuinely sulphate free, and Bondi Wash are specific about it. No SLS, SLES or any sulphate. They use plant-based glucoside surfactants instead, which foam less and clean just as well.
- The fragrance is plant-sourced, full stop. Bondi Wash use only natural fragrance across the range, and say plainly that this means scent and colour can vary batch to batch. That variation is the proof.
- Made in Australia. With Australian manufacturers, and the bottles are recyclable post-consumer plastic, also made here.
- Vegan and not tested on animals. Gluten free too.
- Worth knowing. It contains the natural essential-oil allergens limonene and linalool. That is standard for any essential-oil formula and Bondi Wash declare both.

How to Use
- Hand washing. 2 capfuls (10ml) into a bucket or sink.
- Front loader. 4 capfuls (20ml).
- Top loader. 4 capfuls (20ml) for an average load, up to 6 capfuls (30ml) for a large one.
- Keep out of direct sunlight. And use within 12 months of opening.

Yes, and the reason is that it contains no enzymes. Enzymes break down protein, and wool and cashmere are protein fibres. Most gentle delicate washes still contain them. It suits wool, cashmere, cotton, linen, fleece and jersey.

How much should I use?

Is it vegan and cruelty free?
Yes to both. Bondi Wash confirm all their products are vegan apart from two balms containing beeswax, and that nothing is tested on animals. It is also gluten free and made in Australia.
