Moths love cashmere as much as you do, and what draws them is not the wool itself: it is the body oils and food traces left on worn clothes. Washing regularly with a gentle wool wash is your first line of defence against moth holes, and it means you can skip the dry cleaner.

- The moth logic is genuinely useful and almost nobody explains it. Moths are not eating the jumper, they are eating what is on it. A regular gentle wash is more effective than any repellent in the wardrobe.
- It replaces the dry cleaner, which is the bigger low-tox win. Conventional dry cleaning uses perchloroethylene, and the garment comes home carrying it. Washing at home in cool water avoids that entirely.
- Lauryl glucoside and cocamidopropyl betaine do the work. Both mild surfactants that clean without stripping the lanolin out of wool, and together they make up most of the formula.
- Nothing on the usual list. Free from ammonia, bleach, dye, formaldehyde, parabens and phthalates, with the full ingredient list published.
- Where we would like more. It contains cocamide MEA, a coconut-derived foam booster some reactive skin types prefer to avoid, and the scent is listed as "fragrance" rather than itemised, so we cannot break it down the way we can for essential-oil formulas.

How to Use
