Tasmanian Pepper & Lavender Mist Spray for Rooms & Linens
Lavender that has grown up. Soft lavender and sweet orange are warmed with Tasmanian pepper, rosemary and dry cedarwood, so it reads as considered rather than as the inside of a linen cupboard. A few spritzes scents a room, or spray it straight onto bedding and fabric where it lasts longer. It comes in a brushed aluminium bottle, which is a quiet giveaway that the brand expects you to leave it on the shelf.

- An aluminium bottle, not plastic. Aluminium is endlessly recyclable without losing quality, unlike a PET spray bottle that downcycles once and then stops. For a product that lives on an open shelf it also simply looks better, which is the real reason it gets kept and refilled rather than replaced.
- The fragrance is the formula, not an additive. Bondi Wash blend from 100% Australian essential oils rather than dosing a base with synthetic fragrance. The label itself carries plant-based, non-toxic and biodegradable.
- They publish the allergens. Limonene, citral, linalool and citronellol are declared on the ingredient list. These occur naturally in citrus and lavender oils and are not contaminants, but a brand that names them is telling you something useful rather than hiding behind the word natural. If you react to fragrance, read that line first.
- A real antibacterial claim, with a caveat. Bondi Wash say the Mist Spray is independently tested to neutralise 99.9% of airborne pathogens. They do not publish the test method or the lab, so we are repeating their claim rather than verifying it.
- Where we would like more. Bondi Wash do not state the country of manufacture on this product, and the pump is plastic even though the bottle is not. The botanicals are Australian and distilled locally, but that is not the same as the finished product being made here, so we have not made that claim.

Our Take
Tasmanian pepper and lavender, native and grounding and a world away from the usual lavender cliche. Blended from 100% Australian essential oils and housed in brushed aluminium rather than plastic, which is why it ends up on the shelf instead of under the sink. A small luxury that still behaves itself on the low-tox front.
