It is the shortest route to swapping the lot at once, and the least risky way to try a range, because these are the six Koala Eco sell most of rather than the six they had left over. - Greywater and septic safe, which is the test that matters in Australia. Anything you tip down a drain on a rural block or into a garden greywater system has to break down without poisoning it. Koala Eco state both, and it is a harder bar than biodegradable alone.
- The scent is the formula, not an additive. Australian essential oils rather than synthetic fragrance, so what you smell is doing some of the cleaning rather than covering it up.
- Full ingredient lists, published per product. Koala Eco publish the composition of every formula in the box, which is why they score as well as they do on transparency. Free from SLS, SLES, phosphates, chlorine, dyes and masking agents.
- Six full-size bottles, no samples. Every one is the same size you would buy individually, which is not true of most brand bundles.
- Where we would like more, and one caveat. These are ready-to-use bottles rather than concentrates, so a good deal of what ships is water. Koala Eco sell 1L refills and concentrates for most of these, which is the lighter way to restock once you know what you like. They are also strongly scented with essential oils: excellent if you like eucalyptus and lemon myrtle, and not the right box if anyone in the house is sensitive to fragrance.

What does greywater and septic safe mean?
That the formulas break down without harming a septic system or a garden greywater system. It is a harder test than biodegradable on its own, and it matters if you are on a rural block or reusing water in the garden.
Is it suitable if someone is sensitive to fragrance?
No, and we would rather say so. Every product in this box is strongly scented with essential oils, chiefly eucalyptus, lemon myrtle, mandarin, peppermint and rosemary. Koala Eco make no allergy or hypoallergenic claim. If fragrance is a problem, look at their fragrance-free products instead.
