Which One Do I Need?
- Brush Handle. Buy this first. The handle on its own, sold singly.
- Replacement Heads 3pk · Regular. Three heads, for everyday washing-up.
- Replacement Heads 3pk · Tough. Three heads, for baked-on food.
Key Features
- Handle and heads sold separately. Replacement heads come in packs of 3.
- FSC-certified beechwood. With natural sisal fibre bristles.
- Fully compostable. At end of life.
- Heads swap in seconds. And fit most standard dish brush handles.
- Vegan friendly. Suits the kitchen and the bathroom.
Pūrē Standard
- No plastic bristles, which is the whole reason to buy it. A nylon brush sheds microplastics straight down the sink every time you scrub. Sisal does not.
- FSC certified. The Forest Stewardship Council checks the material at every stage of processing, so the timber claim is verified rather than asserted.
- A refill, not a replacement. Three heads means one handle lasts years instead of the whole brush going in the bin every few months. This is the format working properly.
- It composts. Wood and plant fibre, so at the end it goes in the compost rather than to landfill.
- Made in China with a named long-term manufacturing partner. Which we prefer to a vague "ethically made".

Our Take
Buy the handle once and replace only the head: FSC beechwood with sisal bristles, so no nylon sheds down the sink. Three heads a pack means the handle lasts years.

Good to know
Frequently asked
Do I need the handle as well as the heads?
Only once. Buy the Brush Handle to start, then replace just the head when it wears out. The heads come three to a pack.
Will the heads fit my existing brush?
They are compatible with most standard dish brush handles, including Seed & Sprout's own beechwood one.
What is the difference between Regular and Tough?
Regular is for everyday washing-up. Tough has firmer bristles for baked-on food.
What are they made from?
FSC-certified beechwood with natural sisal fibre bristles. No plastic bristles, so nothing sheds microplastics down the sink, and no dye or synthetic coating.
Are they compostable?
Yes, fully. Wood and plant fibre, so they go in the compost at the end rather than to landfill.
How do I make them last?
Hang the brush or stand it on its bristles after use so water drains away from the wood. For a deeper clean, sit it in distilled white vinegar, rinse, shake and hang to dry.
