Plants are the one category here where the wrong product does not just underperform, it can actually kill something you have been growing for months.

The Plant Care Edit

Plant food, pest and disease treatment, tools, planters and heirloom seeds, organised by what you are actually trying to solve rather than by what is for sale. A few products, the neem oil range especially, do double duty as both preventative and treatment, so check the product page for the right dilution before use.

Do I need different plant food for indoor and outdoor plants? Generally yes. Indoor plant food is usually lower concentration, because indoor plants grow more slowly with less light, and over-feeding is a more common problem than under-feeding. Check the dilution on the product page rather than assuming outdoor rates apply.

Is neem oil safe around pets? Diluted and used as directed on plants, generally yes, but keep pets away from freshly sprayed leaves until fully dry. Two products here are independently verified pet-safe by the Animal Poisons Centre; the neem sprays are not among them.

Why do some heirloom seeds have almost no stock? Heirloom seed availability is genuinely seasonal. We do not restock out-of-season varieties artificially just to keep a product page looking full. If something is low or out, it will be back at the right planting window.

Is a moisture meter better than just using your finger? For deeper pots, yes. It gives a consistent reading below the surface, where the top inch can be dry while the root zone is still wet. Genuinely useful if you have killed a plant with a well-meaning but mistimed watering schedule.

Common questions

What natural plant care products do indoor plants need?

Most houseplants thrive with a good liquid plant food, an occasional soil or microbe booster, and neem oil to keep foliage clean and pest free. Our Plant Care collection covers all three, with formulas rated against our Pūrē Standard for ingredient transparency.

Are natural plant foods as effective as synthetic fertilisers?

Yes. Our plant foods deliver a complete NPK feed with trace elements and seaweed extract, readily taken up by roots, and many are almost odourless unlike fish based feeds. They nourish plants effectively while being kinder to soil life.

Is neem oil safe to use indoors around pets and children?

The neem oil we stock is all natural and cold pressed, and is described as safe for use around pets and children when used as directed, though it is not for ingestion. Always follow the label and keep products stored safely away.

How do I make plant care more sustainable?

Choose refillable plant foods, concentrates and glass bottled neem oil, and look for genuinely circular products like frass based soil boosters made from food waste. Filter by Refillable or Plastic Free to reduce packaging over time.

Do you sell planters and plant tools as well as plant food?

Yes. Alongside plant foods and neem oil, the Plant Care collection includes planters, pots, misters, moisture meters and plant snips, chosen for durability and material safety against our Pūrē Standard.
