The Plant Tools Edit

Care kits first for anyone starting out or buying a gift, then misters, then the diagnostic and structural tools. The brass and nickel misters are solid metal rather than plated plastic, which is why they cost what they do and why they will still be here in a decade.

Does misting actually help? Less than the internet claims. It raises humidity briefly, which suits ferns and calatheas, but it is not a substitute for watering. Grouping plants together does more.

Are moisture meters worth it? If you overwater, genuinely yes. Overwatering kills more houseplants than anything else, and a meter settles the argument your finger cannot.

What is a coco climber for? Climbing aroids like monstera and pothos. Given something to attach to, they produce noticeably larger leaves, because in the wild that is exactly what going up a tree signals.
