A pre-measured laundry sheet that replaces the plastic jug entirely. Eighty washes arrive in a 250g cardboard box rather than several kilos of liquid, most of which is water you already have at home. One sheet per load, half for a small one, dissolving in a cold cycle as readily as a hot one, with no optical brighteners to deposit fluorescent dye on your whites.

Pūrē Standard
- Eighty washes from a 250g box, and the dosing is published. Concentrated enzymes and surfactants do the work, one sheet per load and half a sheet for a small one, dissolving in a cold cycle as readily as a hot one. Light enough to post flat does not mean light on the washing.
- No optical brighteners, which is a quiet swindle in most detergents. Brighteners do not clean anything. They deposit a fluorescent dye so white looks whiter in daylight.
- The transport maths is real. A box of sheets weighs 250g against several kilos for the equivalent in liquid, and most of a detergent jug is water you already have at home.
- Septic and greywater safe. Which matters if you are on a tank or your laundry water goes on the garden.
- It contains sodium dodecyl sulfate, and we would rather say so. Ease.y Earth describe it as derived from coconut fats, which is accurate, but it sits in the same surfactant family as SLS. If sulfate free is your specific goal, this is not the one.
- The dissolving film is PVA. A synthetic polymer. Ease.y Earth state it is certified to be fully biodegradable in wastewater treatment conditions. Independent research on how completely PVA breaks down in real-world treatment is still developing rather than settled, so we would rather flag that than claim more certainty than the science supports.

Our Take
Detergent sheets sound like a gimmick until you post one: 80 washes in a cardboard box instead of a plastic jug that is mostly water you already have at home. We were sceptical, then converted.

Frequently asked
How many washes do I get?
80 per pack. One sheet per standard load, or half a sheet for a small one.
Do they work in cold water?
Yes. They dissolve instantly in hot or cold, with no residue, and suit all machines including HE, front and top loaders.
Are they septic safe?
Yes, septic system and greywater safe, which matters if you are on a tank or your laundry water goes on the garden.
How honest is the low tox claim?
We score them plainly. They contain sodium dodecyl sulfate, which Ease.y Earth describe as derived from coconut fats, and that is accurate, but it sits in the same surfactant family as SLS. If sulfate free is your specific goal, this is not the one. They are free from phosphates, bleach, parabens, fillers, optical brighteners and synthetic dyes.
Is the dissolving film plastic?
It is PVA, a synthetic polymer. Ease.y Earth state it is certified to be fully biodegradable in wastewater treatment conditions. Independent research on how completely PVA breaks down in real-world treatment is still developing rather than settled, so we flag it rather than claim more certainty than the science supports.
What about the packaging?
Recyclable cardboard. No plastic jug, and the box weighs 250g against several kilos for the liquid equivalent.
