- No optical brighteners, which is the quiet swindle in most detergents. Brighteners do not clean anything. They deposit a fluorescent dye on the fabric that makes white look whiter under daylight. Your clothes are not cleaner, they are coated.
- Genuinely sulphate free. No SLS, SLES or any sulphate. Bondi Wash use plant-based glucoside surfactants instead and publish the full list of what they exclude.
- The fragrance is plant-sourced, full stop. Australian bush oils and essential oils rather than a synthetic perfume, which is why colour and scent can vary batch to batch.
- Biodegradable and greywater safe. Which matters if your laundry water goes on the garden.
- Use the right wash for the fibre. Bondi Wash themselves recommend their Delicate Wash for silk and finer fibres. This one is deliberately high pH, and high pH is not what silk or wool want.
- Worth knowing about the enzymes. Bondi Wash market this as containing plant-derived natural enzymes, but no enzyme is named in the published ingredient list. If you need a guaranteed enzyme-free wash for wool or cashmere, their Wool & Cashmere Wash states plainly that it has none.
- Vegan and not tested on animals. Gluten free, and made in Australia.

How to Use
- Front loader. 4 capfuls (20ml).
- Top loader. 4 capfuls (20ml) for an average load, up to 6 capfuls (30ml) for a large one.
- Hand washing. 2 capfuls (10ml) into a bucket or sink.
- Keep out of direct sunlight. And use within 12 months of opening.
Good to Know
- Not for silk. For silk and more delicate fibres, Bondi Wash recommend their Delicate Wash instead. This formula is deliberately high pH.
