Pure Standard
- Five ingredients, all of them named. Sandalwood powder, red sandalwood powder, nutmeg powder, guar gum and water. That is the whole list, and it is the reason we brought it in: almost nothing else in this category will tell you what is in the stick.
- The spice is the actual spice. Ground nutmeg and two sandalwoods doing the work, rather than fragrance sprayed onto a blank bamboo core, which is how most incense is made.
- Guar gum as the binder. A plant gum doing the job that synthetic binders usually do, with water as the only other input.
- 45 minutes per stick, roughly double a standard stick, so a box of 25 lasts.
- Handmade, so batches vary a little in appearance and burn. We would rather that than uniformity.
