Pure Standard
- A four-ingredient incense. Sandalwood, white sage, guar gum and water. That is the whole list, and it is the reason we brought it in: almost nothing else in the category can print its ingredients on one line.
- Real plant material, not a scented stick. The sage and sandalwood are the incense itself rather than fragrance sprayed onto a blank bamboo core, which is how most incense is made.
- Guar gum as the binder. A plant gum doing the job that synthetic binders usually do, with water as the only other input.
- Full ingredient disclosure from the maker, which is genuinely rare here. Most incense lists nothing at all.
- 45 minutes per stick, roughly double a standard stick, so a box of 25 lasts.
- Handmade, so batches vary a little in appearance and burn. We would rather that than uniformity.
