Part of Urganiqa's Grounded Collection, and an ode to unlearning urgency. It opens with hyacinth, sweet and content to be overlooked, then berries softened past ripeness into something almost wistful, with vanilla bean and rose settling at the base. Light it when you are resisting the hustle, reclaiming your evening, or simply enjoying the luxury of not being productive.
Key Features
- The base. Wood powder from sustainably sourced sandalwood, joss and pine.
- The binder. Natural sugarcane bioethanol rather than a petroleum solvent.
- The oils. Hand-dipped in premium-grade fragrance oils and essential oils.
- Burn time. A slow, clean burn of approximately 20 minutes per stick.
- Origin. Australian made and owned, printed on the pack.
Pūrē Standard
- The stick itself is the giveaway. Budget incense is usually a bamboo splint rolled in charcoal and synthetic binder, which is where most of the acrid smoke comes from. This uses wood powders from sandalwood, joss and pine, so the base burns cleanly instead of competing with the fragrance.
- Sugarcane bioethanol, not petroleum solvent. Something has to carry the oil into the stick. Choosing a plant-derived alcohol over a petrochemical one is an unglamorous decision that nobody would notice if they skipped it.
- A soft scent that settles rather than performs. Berries and vanilla could easily tip into candle-shop sweetness. The hyacinth and rose keep it quiet, which is the whole point of the name.
- Australian made and owned. Printed on the pack rather than only claimed on a website, which is worth noting in a category where almost everything is imported.
- Where we would like more. Urganiqa name the woods, the binder and the oil types but do not publish a full itemised ingredient list, and the blend uses fragrance oils alongside essential oils. That is the only thing holding Transparency and Low-Tox at 4.

Our Take
Incense with a name that is frankly aspirational, and a scent grounded enough to help you live up to it. For the twenty minutes a day you have decided to do genuinely nothing.

Frequently asked
What does this incense smell like?
Soft, subtly sweet and a little nostalgic: hyacinth, berries, vanilla bean and rose. It settles into a room rather than announcing itself.
What is it made from?
Sustainably sourced wood powders of sandalwood, joss and pine, bound with natural sugarcane bioethanol, then hand-dipped in premium-grade fragrance oils and essential oils. Urganiqa do not publish a full itemised ingredient list.
How long does each stick burn?
About 20 minutes per stick, with 15 sticks per envelope, so roughly five hours in total. Urganiqa also make a 30-stick slider box of this scent.
Why does the wood base matter?
Cheap incense is a bamboo splint rolled in charcoal and a synthetic binder, and that is where the harsh, acrid smoke comes from. A wood powder base burns more cleanly, so you notice the fragrance rather than the smoke.
Where is it made?
Australian made and owned, printed on the pack rather than only claimed on a website.
How do I use it safely?
Light the tip, let it catch, then blow out the flame so it smoulders. Burn on a heatproof surface in a ventilated room, never leave it unattended, and keep it away from children and pets.
