Most brands using recycled plastic will not put a percentage in writing, and a stated figure is the whole reason this one is in the range.
- It comes complete. The 520mm marine wire and S hook are included. Hanging planters sold without hardware are the ones that sit in a cupboard, and this one does not have that problem.
- Post consumer is the harder half. Post consumer recycled content is waste that has already been through a household, which is materially harder to source than factory offcuts. Credit where it is due.
- Where it sits in the range. This is a recycled plastic piece, not a plastic free one, so we have not given it our Plastic Free tag and it scores lower on Low-Tox than our stoneware planters. How to Use
- Thread and hang. Run the supplied marine wire through the hanging points and hang from the S hook.
- Check your fixing point. It must be rated for the planter plus a fully watered plant. Wet potting mix is far heavier than dry.
- Water out of the hanger. Leave your plant in its 200mm nursery pot and lift it out, or water lightly and let it drain before rehanging.
- Wipe with a damp cloth. Skip solvents and abrasive cleaners on the plastic body.
Good to Know
- Drainage is not stated. Potted do not say whether this piece is drilled. If you are hanging it indoors, we would water the plant separately and let it drain before it goes back up.
- Tone varies batch to batch. A consequence of the recycled feedstock rather than a fault, and easier to notice on Dusted Clay than on the stronger Mustard.
