- Stoneware, not plastic. Potted list the material plainly: stoneware, a dense high fired ceramic. It is inert, it does not off gas, and it will never shed microplastics into your soil or your home. That is the reason we brought the range in.
- Built to outlive the trend. A stoneware pot is a decade long object, not a season long one. The most sustainable planter is the one you never have to replace, and this is the format that gets you there.
- Nothing added. No fragrance, no coatings, no plastic liner. There is very little in a glazed stoneware pot to react with, which makes it an easy piece to put in a bedroom or a nursery.
- Worth knowing before you buy. Potted publish the material, the finish and the dimensions, but not the country of manufacture, the glaze composition or the packaging. Care Instructions
- Wipe with a damp cloth. Skip abrasive cleaners and scourers, which will dull the gloss over time.
- Use it as a cachepot: leave your plant in its 140mm nursery pot, lift it out to water, let it drain, then drop it back in.
- Sit it on felt pads or a coaster on timber and stone surfaces.
- Stoneware is hard wearing but it is still ceramic. It will chip if it is knocked against a hard edge.
Good to Know
- Potted do not state whether this piece is drilled with a drainage hole, and it is supplied without a saucer. We would use it as a decorative outer pot rather than planting directly into it.
