It is all in the curves with the Orbit. A spherical stoneware planter perched on a circular plinth that also acts as a saucer to catch the drips, finished in a subtle matt reactive jade glaze. Reactive glazes vary a little piece to piece, so no two are quite identical.

- The plinth is the clever part. Rather than shipping a separate dish that gets lost or swapped for a plastic tray, the saucer is built into the form. One object, nothing to misplace, and no afterthought plastic accumulating in the house.
- Stoneware, not a plastic composite. Fired clay is inert. It does not off-gas, it does not shed microplastics into your potting mix, and it will not go chalky and brittle in a sunny window the way a plastic pot does.
- A reactive glaze is a real one. The colour comes from the firing rather than a surface coating or paint, which is why it varies piece to piece and why it will not wear off.
- Built to outlast the plant in it. Heavy, solid, and the opposite of disposable. This is a pot you repot into rather than one you replace.
- Where we would like more. Potted publish the material, the finish, the external height and the internal diameter for every pot in the range, which is more than most homewares brands manage. They do not publish the external diameter, the clay body or the glaze composition. Their trade listings give the country of manufacture as China.
